For the 150th anniversary of ETH Zurich, the Department of Architecture decided on a top project. Students and professors planned and realised the new Monte Rosa lodge (2883 m), which can be operated according to ecological principles thanks to innovative ideas.
In the harsh mountain climate, no external shading could be considered, yet the lodge guests should not be dazzled behind the generous window fronts when the sun was low. The life in the lodge also demanded a robust solution. The choice fell on the SG 4910 roller blind system with Multiscreen 5%. The extremely reliable technology in combination with the stable and durable screen fabric is perfect for the Monte Rosa lodge.
