Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the East of England is a home designed by architect Nicky Mylius for her parents. This three-storey home had to be sensitive to it’s surroundings so needed the simplicity of a rural building but be resolutely contemporary. The end result is a breathtaking home which appears to be wrapped in a ribbon of glass, made even more beautiful by Silent Gliss SG 6243 curtain tracks with wave curtains in Colorama 2.
The curtains were part of the concept to create an open plan area, but with defined areas. Some tracks are over 6m and transcend rooms to create a feeling of continuity and flow throughout. The discreet, neat stack of the wave curtains ensure the access to daylight is maximised, with a softening of the minimalist surroundings when the curtains are closed.
